Newbie gravure idol Yumi Asahina (朝比奈祐未) quickly made an impression on us a few months ago with her awesome butt — so much so that we included her in our updated list of top asses in Japan.

The aptly named Fetish VR Video wants to raise ¥1 million to make its specialist content. The perks offered include viewing rights for the first videos if you pay ¥3,000, being able to select the model if you pay ¥5,000, and actually appearing in the video if you pay ¥20,000.

The preview video shows a girl in denim shorts riding around a regular neighborhood with the camera fixed firmly on her immediate crotch area.

The idea is that you wear a pair of VR goggles while watching the content to experience the full straddled view. The footage can be swiveled 360 degrees, though we presume most viewers don’t deviate too far from the crotch view.

While the amount of funds collected so far is not made public, the preview video has over 18,000 views at present.

Shannon Danielle Wong, a Canadian national, has been arrested in Japan for entering into a fake marriage for visa reasons.

Tokyo Metropolitan Police arrested the 29-year-old Wong, who admits the charges, as well as her “husband” Narimichi Sasaki, a construction worker. The pair met at a cosplay event in Kabukicho while Wong was technically a student and then entered an arrangement to marry on paper in June 2016.

Wong paid Sasaki an initial ¥700,000 and then was monthly payments of ¥30,000 each. The total fee for Sasaki’s participation in the scam was to be ¥1 million yen.

It is reported that that Wong, a cosplay enthusiast with dyed blond hair, was involved with a fuzoku business as some kind of sex worker.

The police first arrested the pair in July on immigration violations related to an inaccurate submission and then rearrested them on document forgery later in the month.

The case has received widespread media attention both in English and in Japanese.

Behind the headlines, though, a number of questions occur to us.

Exactly what kind of fuzoku was Wong working for? Certainly it must have paid well, giving the reimbursement she could offer her “husband.”

Secondly, where did this anonymous tip come from? A rival in the business? A disgruntled colleague or customer? We find it strange that the immigration bureau and police could even find out about their arrangement.

Alas for the perpetrators, they did indeed and now Wong is paraded in front of the media cameras (but not, it seems, Sasaki).

Sex Tech Guide recently wrote up an interesting report about Tokyo’s VR booths.

“Space is a valuable commodity, but it would seem that in Tokyo at least, so too is the privacy to masturbate,” as the article writes — a fact that people living in the city’s rabbit-hutch apartments with families can well attest.

The article investigates one such booth in the basement of an Soft on Demand sex shop. The booth contains a computer, VR headset, wall-mounted tissue dispenser, towel, clock, and a vacuum cleaner.

While the adult virtual reality tech is new, this kind of service is not. For decades there have been booth-like facilities in major cities for watching porn, usually identifiable by the signs saying “video.” These have survived, more or less, even in the digital age, since it is hard for many average salarymen to find the time or space to watch AV in their own time at home if they live with their families.

Indeed, one of the main types of customers using Internet cafes in Japan are men renting the private booths to watch porn, rather than browse Wikipedia, which they can just do on their phone on the train to work. One of our earliest memories is of Internet cafe staff calmly spraying air freshener to cover the stink of semen from the men using these private booths. The report also got picked up by The Sun, one of the most notorious tabloids in the UK, and unsurprisingly turned into another “wacky Japan” narrative (“VR porn booths let Japan’s randy cyber-pervs watch virtual reality smut”) full of weird assertions and clumsy inaccuracies (Soft on Demand is described as “a notorious Japanese VR porn firm”). Yes, Japan is wacky at times (like pretty much all other places), but please do your homework first.

While this blog is ostensibly about Japanese sex, we like to write about Korean and Chinese topics, too. But we don’t think we have ever talked about anything Vietnamese until now, so we hope fans of Southeast Asian ladies will be pleased.

We recently spotted this Vietnamese movie, The Housemaid (2016), which features a couple of decent sex scenes.
