Ever hired a lady of the night and then changed your mind? Tried to cancel and had trouble with the girl or her handlers?
One man had such a problem in Kabukicho but ended up on top, legally speaking.
Yukie Shimoyachi, a 30-year-old prostitute, was arrested earlier this week for extortion. She had forced a man to pay her a “cancellation fee” of ¥50,000 ($410) in the early hours of September 27th.
The man had been lured by a street tout in Kabukicho (lesson of the day: DON’T trust those guys) with the promise of a lady who could provide full penetrative sex services (technically illegal in Japan).
The foolish, yet horny customer paid ¥29,000 to the tout and then went to a nearby room.
When Shimoyachi walked in, naturally the man was rather disappointed. She attempted to tempt him with offers of her services, upwards of ¥65,000 ($534).
When he declined and said he wanted to cancel the liaison, she threatened him and frog-marched him to an ATM at a convenience store in the area to claim her
The victim had the last laugh when he made a complaint to the cops, who have been cracking down on Kabukicho lately.
There have been 450 complaints about such “rental room” appointments that go wrong.
What with the Yamaguchi-gumi in free-fall, the police are perhaps able to make these arrests more freely (that or this tout and prostitute were operating beyond the Yakuza umbrella).
