It’s almost time for Halloween and the streets of Tokyo — especially Shibuya — are guaranteed to be packed with a zillion slinky girls donning slinky costumes (despite the rapidly dropping temperatures).
Well, if you want an original costume, we recommend you check out some of the Japanese outfits available for overseas delivery on Kanojo Toys.
Tenga onacup-inspired outfits are regularly spotted at cosplay and costume events.
Last year in Tokyo during Halloween, three guys were dressed up as Tenga onacups, while a guy in the States seemed ahead of the curve in 2009 with his apparently homemade Tenga costume. Hell, even Colonel Sanders gets dressed up in Tenga colors in certain parts of Tokyo.
So there is a precedent to what this guy is doing. We love it.
And once you’ve put on your Tenga kigurumi, there’s nothing to stop you working and going about your everyday tasks. We hope to see a commuter wearing one of these costumes soon.
We look forward to seeing these riffs on Tenga on the streets.
Here are some people from earlier this month.
