Some would argue that Japanese girls have small enough chests already. Some would argue that that’s a very good thing and makes them so cute (especially Japanese guys, it seems).
Others would wish their breasts were larger than the B or C cup that’s average.
But surely few would think that Japanese girls need bras that make their breasts look even smaller.
After all, there is already lingerie catering for girls with flatter chests who want to show off their cuteness.
And yet, these types of bras exist.

Apparently, girls with slightly larger chests in Japan sometimes worry that their assets make them look “fat”. So a bra like this that reduces how much they show off, means they appear slim and cuter. Also some girls with larger breasts will (for obvious reasons) seem “sexier” and more attractive to certain kinds of men. It might mean they receive unwanted attention in places where they cannot get away, not least Tokyo’s rush-hour trains where chikan groping is rampant. By “toning down” their appear less eroi and slutty to would-be gropers.
After all, there are plenty of ladies with ample chests. Just look on the streets!
That’s not to say we don’t like small ladies too.
