We love a good comeback story at Tokyo Kinky. Last week, we reported on Yumi Sugimoto’s return to gravure in an issue of Weekly Playboy.
That same issue featured a number of Super Sentai alum and we are delighted to share the pics of Yui Koike, marking her first gravure shoot in about a decade.
Like with Sugimoto, 33-year-old Koike is releasing an accompanying digital photo book via Weekly Playboy.
The tokusatsu sci-fi series often hires gravure idols to play female roles. Koike prevously appeared in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger.
She still has those girl-next-door looks and a slinky body.
This is what Yui Koike looked like back in the day.
We personally think she looks even better today.
After her career dried up and she left her agency 10 years ago, Koike was working in an izakaya for a time, though has done some more acting in recent years.
Perhaps the Saitama native will use this Weekly Playboy gig as a platform to relaunch a gravure career as a jukujo idol.
This kind of nostalgia-tinged gravure comeback really seems to be a bit of a vogue right now, with previously reported high-profile comebacks like Reiko Kato and Chinatsu Wakatsuki — and also Sayaka Tashiro also releasing her first gravure DVD in 13 years.
Which 1990s or 2000s star would like you like to see make a comeback?
