Rizap is a chain of gyms in Japan that specializes in quick-fix training services that promise to slim you down in short periods of time.
It often advertises its services with before-and-after shots of celebrities’ bodies.
Previous examples include AKB48’s Minami Minegishi looking a little overweight and then athletic and toned.
Other examples of brand ambassadors include 56-year-old Eri Ishida and post-scandal Yukipoyo.
The latest is gravure model Mai Nishida. Once a regular feature in gravure magazines, Nishida is now 35 years old and has disappeared from our lives.
And so it was a nice surprise to see that familiar name on the current campaign for Rizap, which shows Mai Nishida when she’s still 34 years old and slimming down and losing 15.5 kg over the course of a few weeks!
What do you think of her three-month transformation?
She’s a curious choice in some ways, since she was never known or expected to be slim per se: she had an almost classic gravure body with huge J-cup tits and plenty of curves.
Rizap describes her in the advertising as a “former” gravure model but we’re not sure that’s true. While her heyday was certainly the late 2000s and early 2010s, she released an image DVD as recently as last year.
The new campaign has resulted in a lot of publicity for Nishida, who is riding the wave of attention in her and her newly slim (or slimmish) body to release a new image DVD — her 49th! — on July 20.
Here is how she looked a few years ago. This is the “early twenties” body that Mai Nishida claims she has returned to, thanks to Rizap.
