This completely passed us by when it came out locally in May last year, but the ever-reliable Twitter (X) account Nude Asian Films alerted us in a post to a nice nude sex scene in the Japanese film Roadside Flowers and Grass.
The movie is about a mentally disturbed women who escapes an abusive relationship and ends up with a guy who has withdrawn from society (yes, a lot of low-budget Japanese films tend to explore these kinds of scenarios). It stars Shintaro Yuya and Mayu Sakuma in the lead roles.
It is the latter we were frankly more interested in, because we had featured her on the blog many years ago. It was nice to see that Sakuma is still acting and getting interesting roles.
Mayu Sakuma did a full-frontal nude shoot (known as a “hair nude”) back in 2010 that we happily showcased on these digital pages. Judging from the nudity in Roadside Flowers and Grass, her body has changed a bit with age (as it inevitable) but is still very attractive.
Not to be confused with Yui Sakuma, who is over a decade younger but has a similar pout, Mayu Sakuma has had a varied career across TV, stage, and film. She is now 39 years old.
We have yet to see Roadside Flowers and Grass ourselves but from what we can tell from online searches, the nudity and sex scenes are relatively modest but you can see Mayu’s nice breasts.
She also did nude scenes in the movie Love & Loathing & Lulu & Ayano (2010), a lesbian romance about minor porn performers, and Peeping Tom (2007) (pictured below).
