Things get wet in love hotel rooms. That goes without saying, presuming you’re doing your job right.
But what about wet as in watery wet? No, we’re not just talking about enjoying a soak in a bath together.
Among the myriad facilities and attractions at Japan’s colorful love hotels, this is perhaps the most elaborate we have heard of: Hotel Regent Odaka in Nagoya has its own private water slide for guests. Elaborate — or crazy?!
These traveling YouTubers recently stayed at the hotel and filmed their exploits (all safe for work, we should add).
You can climb up the stairs to the top of the slide and then take it down to the small, heated pool at the bottom.
In addition to the star attraction of the water slide, the room has karaoke and even a spare bedroom.
Expanding beyond the aquatic theme, other rooms at the Hotel Regent Odaka seem to have a mini dungeon and carousel.
The hotel itself, like other love hotels, tries to promote itself beyond just the key demographic of couples who want a few hours for some sex. It markets the water slide room, for instance, as a great place for joshikai (all-girls’ parties).
A mini pool facility is not unique to this hotel — the SK Plaza in Shibuya, for instance, has at least one room like that — but this is the first love hotel we have heard of that offers a private water slide.
