The former idol Riona Yuki (結城りおな) who made TV appearances has launched an adult video career, changing her professional name to Alice Shinomiya (四宮ありす).
Netizens are now scrambling to figure out if they ever caught her on TV. Screen grabs indicate that she did appear on certain shows, but did she leave much of an impression? (Japanese TV shows are notoriously overcrowded with celebrities all competing for attention.)
Yuki reportedly belonged to Amuse, a major management agency for music idols and celebrities.
It is a strange case that someone who was a guest on variety shows, sharing the screen with big names in television, should not be better known.
It’s not clear if she was ostensibly a wannabe music idol or just generic “talent.” But her career was presumably going nowhere (though she did do a gravure shoot for Weekly Playboy in 2015), because she’s now turned to Japanese porn.
The 24-year-old’s debut (SSIS00569) for S1 No. 1 Style (not Muteki, like a lot of crossover debuts) comes out December 13 on physical format and December 9 as a streaming release.
There’s something else very curious about this debut. It’s been announced in the publicity material that this is a non-nude AV (specifically, they say it’s “not an all-nude but see-through nude” production). Huh? Is that possible?
Apparently, the release won’t show Alice Shinomiya nude, but it nonetheless does include her “honban” (full sex). Off the top of our heads, we can’t think of another major JAV release like this.
It would seem to be the opposite of YouTuber Yu Hirose’s disappointing AV debut earlier this year, which featured plenty of nudity but no actual sex, or even the porn crossover of actress Yoko Kamon, which she later revealed was actually all faked (except for the nudity).
Certainly, the publicity images of Shinomiya are very tame!
