The model Riho Takada (高田里穂) has made a triumphant return to gravure and is now releasing her first print photo book in 11 years.
As featured in the cover shoot for the October 31 issue of Weekly Playboy, the 28-year-old Riho went nuder than ever before for the swimwear/beach-themed and lingerie shoot.
Other shots feature her topless, her breasts covered by her hands and arms held close to her chest, or by a carefully positioned shirt.
We’re not sure why all these autumn photo books think a summer theme is the way to go — see the new photo book by Hana Takeuchi for another example. Sure, the shoots probably take place in August, but aren’t they missing opportunities to incorporate pumpkins or chestnuts motifs, or even Halloween costumes?
The photo book, “Perfected Imperfection,” comes out October 31 from Shueisha. Takada’s last print photo book came out in 2022.
“Perfected Imperfection” is a quick followup cementing her gravure comeback after at least four digital-edition-only photo books that were released over the year. She made her formal gravure comeback in September 2021 with a shoot for Weekly Playboy and a digital photo book that month. One year on, her gravure resurgence is still going strong.
Takada was a fashion model throughout the 2000s and 2010s for magazines like non-no, and also had acting roles in series like Kamen Rider.
