At professional baseball games in Japan, like in the United States, it is common to invite a celebrity to make a ceremonial first pitch.
We remember some minor controversy a few years ago when a very scantily clad Mitsu Dan was asked to do this duty.
In Taiwan, though, they do things differently.
At the stadium for local baseball team Rakuten Monkeys, sponsored by the Japanese e-commerce giant, in Taoyuan City, a squadron of sexy office ladies entertain visitors with their thighs and curvy butts.
Wearing face masks (which are still ingrained over here in East Asia), the five slinky ladies — apparently members of the Rakuten Girls — in black skirts and tights, high heels, and white shirts dance to Britney Spears’s “Toxic” for the entertainment of the packed crowd of male viewers sitting in close proximity.
The Rakuten Girls, who are the team’s official cheerleading squad, have been doing these kinds of special OL numbers since at least the summer. This particular dance routine was from July. We love the contrast between the performers and the furry mascot, who just innocently claps along as the slinky OLs do their thing.
At least one of the ladies has a skirt so tight and high that you can see her panties.

While wrestling has its ring girls and racing has its pit girls, baseball is a tamer affair in Japan, though the beer girls in the stadium are always cute. (To be fair, in their usual incarnation as cheerleaders, the Rakuten Girls are, like the Lotte Girls, not usually so risqué.)
The gravure idol Ami Inamura has made baseball her thing, frequently showing off her strong batting skills, but we wonder if she should take inspiration from the Rakuten Girls to boost her career.
