Idols are wonderful. We love them — their bodies, their cute looks, their habit of posing in small bikinis…
But some people go too far.
The Japanese internet has been delighted to find that the rumors are true. There are otaku so obsessed with idols that they need serious help.
That’s why there’s this “consultation” helpline for people who are “dependent” on idols. I.e. the guys who buy thousands of AKB48 CDs for the votes they bring in the “election” and the people who line up for hours just for the chance to have five-seconds with their starlet as they shake her hand.

“Idols” are fun to be enjoyed “in moderation”.
It lists the kinds of things that would cross the line of “moderation”.
Telling lies in order to go to events.
Using money you must not use.
Being unable to stop buying lots of the same CD or other merchandise.
Giving verbal abuse to idols and being told off.
Borrowing money in order to attend handshaking events.
Arguing with those you love because of idols.
Yes, these all sound pretty reasonable to us!
But is it a fake? Some people have uncovered an almost identical poster for people with pachinko gambling addiction.
Well, even if it is fake, it certainly needs to exist!
