Japanese cops have guns and in theory can shoot someone if necessary.
Well, some shoot other things.
Kozo Shirakawa, a 46-year-old sergeant in Kagawa, was nothing if not ingenious. He attached a special spy camera to his shoe so he could film up women’s skirts. The camera was on the inside and could shoot from a small hole in the leather.
One August Sunday afternoon he took his invention to a department store in Takamatsu, where he was trying it out by filming up the skirt of a 23-year-old woman.
Surely this guy should be given bonus points for innovation and brazenness. The woman did not notice, but a store security man apparently did — who alerted police. After arresting Shirakawa, he admitted his guilt. We wonder if he will get to keep his job?
