On the troubled Japanese Netflix reality show Terrace House, which faces possible cancellation after one of its stars took her life following online bullying, the gravure model Yume Hayashi recently made quite a personal confession.
Much of the appeal of the show hinges on watching young people with emerging careers as models and so on hook up. Accordingly, Hayashi has attracted the attention of both male viewers and an occupant of the house.
Hokkaido-born, 24-year-old Yume Hayashi is well known for her sporty body. She goes by the name Yume Yoshida on the show, despite (or perhaps because of) her career so far.
When Toshiyuki Niino, a thirtysomething CEO with no shortage of confidence, was trying out moves to seduce Yume on the sofa, his hand teasingly stroking the back of her neck, he asked her about her sexual experience. (His behavior and attempts to seduce Hayashi/Yoshida, incidentally, have crossed a line for many viewers.)
While not as many as man-eater DJ-model Ayame Tachibana but far more than gravure veteran Sayaka Isoyama, she gave a figure of between 20 and 30. Is that a lot for a young, attractive woman? Or what you would expect?
Niino, at any rate, was unfazed by this, remarking that such a number was “standard.” Naturally, he hopes that he will be added to her tally before long, though his pursuit might have to continue without the cameras rolling (the show is currently on hiatus to shield cast and crew from COVID-19, and may not return after the death of the other female member of the cast).
